A recovery organization · Fairfield County, Ohio

Recovery, with room to grow.

We are the GrowthWorks Collective: a nonprofit, 100% operated by people with lived experience. We bring recovery, education, and practical technology together so people and the organizations beside them can move forward.

AI safety training for recovery teams. HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 built in, taught by people with lived experience.

Every referral tracked. Every resident respected. Every shift accountable.

Meet Nova, the house's own AI for sober living. It keeps the daily routine consistent and the house safe, and it keeps residents' conversations private.

  • Referrals you can follow. Every intake records how the person came to you, whether a walk-in, an agency referral, an inquiry or a self-start, and follows the paperwork through to move-in.
  • Dignity first. Residents get their own helper, not a monitor. No risk scores. Nova's AI runs on a computer inside the house, so no outside AI company sees their conversations.
  • Accountability on both sides. Residents check in, sign out and keep up with chores. Staff answer alerts and requests, and it is all on the record.
  • The same house every shift. One routine, the same rules and reminders, no matter who is working.
  • Safety, always on. Crisis numbers are always on screen, and staff are alerted when someone may need help.

Nova is a house assistant. It is not a medical device or treatment. In a crisis, call or text 988.

Three ways to work with us

Practical learning. Stronger recovery communities.

For the people doing recovery work, the organizations supporting it, and the people building what comes next for themselves.

02 / For organizations

Stronger practice. Clearer processes.

Regulatory compliance consulting with a specialty in CARF accreditation. Work with us on readiness, policies, documentation, and quality improvement.

03 / For recovery and reentry

Learn something. Make something.

Recovery-friendly education groups in AI workforce skills, 3D printing, graphic design, and digital production. Build practical skills through creative projects.

The way we approach recovery

People bring more than a history. They bring possibility.

Our work makes space for learning, creativity, connection, and meaningful next steps. Lived experience belongs in the room, whether we are exploring an AI tool, designing a first print, or helping an organization improve its practice.

  • Start with the person.

Bring your goals, your questions, and your starting point. We will talk through what fits.

  • Learn through doing.

Use practical exercises and creative projects to turn unfamiliar tools into useful skills.

  • Keep technology accountable.

Privacy, ethical use, and human judgment belong alongside every new capability.
